Workshops will be held to involve women academics in research, development and teaching programmes linked to ASHEWA.

A number of universities have established Women's Studies Departments. ASHEWA will contact these departments, collect and disseminate information on their work, and form a virtual communication network. Where necessary workshops to facilitate exchange and to strengthen programmes will be held. In addition efforts will be made to ensure that research and development programmes focusing on women's issues are also undertaken in other universities.
